The Canadian Association of Critical Care Nurses (CACCN) is the national voice for critical care nurses in Canada. Membership in CACCN provides opportunities to participate in professional development, access to critical care nursing education programs, supports activities that promote practice standards, raises the quality and profile of critical care nursing in Canada, and contributes to the advancement of this specialized area of practice. Additional benefits of membership include of a subscription to the peer reviewed Dynamics: Official Journal of the Canadian Association of Critical Care Nurse (indexed in Medline, CINAHL and RNdex), as well as reduced tuition for educational programs. Members of CACCN have access the "members only" section of the CACCN website. The members only section includes an on-line study guide consisting of a series of examination practice questions, developed by Brenda Morgan. Other member options include on-line CEUs. CACCN hosts an annual national convention in a different Canadian city each fall, called Dynamics of Critical Care. Registration information can be found at www.caccn.ca. Dynamics is a wonderful opportunity to learn, rejuvinate and connect with critical care colleagues from across the county! Dynamics 2011 will be held at the London Convention Centre, London, Ontario, October 16-18, 2011. Register early, this is going to be an awesome event!!! Dynamics 2012 will be held at the Westin Bayshore Centre, Vancouver, British Columbia. A call for abstracts will be available in the fall of 2011, with an on-line submission deadline of January 31, 2012.
